Capitowl runs on your Mac in its own resizable window, with a sidebar, a full menu bar and keyboard shortcuts. This page covers what works differently on Mac.
The sidebar
On Mac the sidebar lists your tabs in groups, with Home on top:
Home
Money: Transactions, Accounts, Budgets, Recurrings
Planning: Goals, Payments, Investments
Assistant
Rows highlight as your pointer moves over them. Choose View › Hide Sidebar (⌃⌘S) to hide it, and Show Sidebar to bring it back. Capitowl remembers your choice next time you open it.
The menu bar
Capitowl adds its own commands to the Mac menu bar.

What’s New
Menu items are greyed out while a sheet is open or Capitowl is not the front window.
Keyboard and pointer
Transactions
When the window is at least 1100 points wide, Transactions shows a table with column headings. Click Date or Amount to sort.
⌘ F: Find (jumps to search)
↑ and ↓: move through the rows; add ⇧ to extend the selection
Return or Space: open the highlighted transaction
⎋ (Esc): clear the selection
⌘ A: Select All
With several rows selected, the bar shows their combined total.
Assistant
⌘ K: New Chat
⌘ Return: Send Message
↑: Edit Last Message (with an empty message box)
Budgets
While you edit a budgeted amount, Return saves it and ⎋ (Esc) cancels.
Window size
Capitowl lays itself out from the width of its window. Under 600 points you get the compact layout without a sidebar. From 600 points the sidebar appears. Wider windows add side-by-side layouts, and from 1100 points the table views switch on. Drag the window edge and the layout changes as you go.
